What if I don't know any good musicians to play on my demo?
We can handle all of the booking of the musicians for you. We have a large pool of Nashville session players and programmers to choose from who play a variety of styles to suit any project.
Do I need to bring charts to the session?
No, the session leader or producer will create the charts for you in the Nashville Number system. You will need to submit a worktape of your songs at least one week prior to your session. You should also bring a typed copy of the lyrics to your songs for the session.
What kind of recording format do you have at The Parlor Studio?
We are now running Pro Tools 10/11 and HDX.
All thunderbolt workflow, and operating out of a Mac "fusion drive".
Bottom line, lightning fast. Have the newest HD I/O's and 32 inputs for tracking.
All backward compatible, so we can still import your sessions to work from as well.
In simpler terms, we have the top of the line Pro Tools at this time.
Can I bring my pro-tools project over and add a piano track to it on your grand piano?
Yes. We are fully set up for tracking editing and mixing in pro-tools. We have one of the finest Yamaha C7 grand pianos in town.
What format do I get my "master" back in?
You can get your master backed up on DVD in wave files which can be put in any other computer that has digital editing software and a DVD player. You can also purchase a hard drive through us and keep all of your projects in one place!
Many clients now just send their sessions through the internet and we can send the work back the same way.
How much will my project cost?
That is something that has so many variables that we really can't give you an accurate quote on this website. We would be glad to give you a custom quote based on your individual situation. Many people use their own songs that they have written, although some people prefer to record other people's songs. We can help you with the song search. Do you manufacture CD's for resale?
No. But we have assembled a team of photographers, graphic artists and CD manufacturing companies that can help you get your product out.
Will I own my master when I am done with the project?
Yes, since you are paying for the recording you will own all the rights to your master.
