Larry Sheridan and Robin Ruddy, owners of Best Built Songs (ASCAP) music publishing, The Parlor Studio, and Parlor Productions are proud to announce the re-opening fo the Parlor Recording Studio on July 1, 2002. The studio is located at 1317 16th Ave. S., Nashville, TN 37212 on historic Music Row in a 4200 sq. ft. renovated 1920's bungalow, previously owned by Randy Travis.
The Parlor Studio was originally a co-venture with Emerald Studios. Artists who have recorded at The Parlor include: John Michael Montgomery, Amy Grant, and Stephen Curtis Chapman, to name a few. Over 15 number one songs have been cut at the Parlor.
Artists and producers are attracted to the Parlor for its relaxed comfortable surroundings that feature dramatic natural woods, and historic fabric wall finishes. The studio design is a Larry Sheridan/Michael Cronin collaboration.
The room is equipped with a Sony DMX-R100 digital console and a Trident sidecar. Tape formats include 48 tracks of new IZ Radar hard disk and a 24 track 2" Studer 800 analog machine. The studio also features a Yamaha C7 grand piano with midi.
