What a year!
So, there was this one day when a bunch of the planets aligned. I think maybe a couple of moons got in there too. Lee Greenwood (God Bless The USA) was in the studio cutting vocals for an up-coming Curb album. That’s pretty cool. He had decided to cut a Michael McDonald song, and Michael came in to play piano on the track. We pulled the C7 Yamaha grand into the main tracking space which is always fun. So now we’ve got Mike McDonald in, playing piano, Lee Greenwood singing……….this is incredible. Not enough. Kenny Loggins………yes, that Kenny Loggins happens to be hanging around Nashville, and being long time buds with Michael, he decides to stop by and just hang out for a while. Ok, you all don’t know my musical history. These guys are some of my heroes. I spent years studying their songs and styles when I was playing gigs around NY. Kenny filled a large slot in pop and jazz studies. Lee was the first country festival headliner I ever saw back in the……………’s. And they were all so casual and gracious. We caught this picture with them. I had to document this day. Where do we go from here?
